Policies & Programs Workshop

Development of the Southern Pines Long-Range Plan will continue with a “Policies & Programs Workshop,” set for two times on Wednesday, September 16th - from 11:30 to 1:30 pm at the Douglass Center, 1185 W. Pennsylvania Avenue, and from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Southern Pines Recreation Center, 160 Memorial Park Court (north of Morganton Road and east of Highway 1).

The meetings will review draft long range plan policies and discuss possible “next steps” - including programs and strategic efforts the Town may take to implement the plan. Participants will help refine and prioritize these next steps, allowing the Town to complete the draft plan and present it to the community at a public meeting in October.

Both meetings will offer the same content, so pick the one that’s most convenient to your schedule and location. A copy of the meeting agenda is linked below. All Town residents and those living within the Town’s ETJ (extra-territorial jurisdiction) are strongly encouraged to attend.
